Local League positions adopted after study and consensus.
These position statements resulted from a 'grass roots' process which includes adoption of a topic for study at an annual meeting and subsequent thorough study by the membership at open meetings. The membership reaches a consensus, resulting in the position statement, which is approved by the board. Each position is reviewed, reworded if necessary, to concur with subsequent studies, and approved for support at each succeeding annual meeting.
The Midland Area LWV may also act under positions of the
